IIM Bangalore MBA Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. In case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) category, this is relaxed to 45%. The candidate may possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
- Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. IIM Bangalore Admission Criteria 2022 is a three step process which involves:
- The preliminary screening.
- Shortlisting criteria with higher weightage given to CAT exam score along with the weightage of other components.
- The Final selection Criteria with low weightage given to CAT exam score along with the weightage of other parameters.
Stage 1: Preliminary screening
In stage 1, candidates will be shortlisted based on their CAT percentile. The candidates who meet both the sectional and minimum cutoff criteria are considered for further rounds of IIM Bangalore selection process.

Stage II: Shortlisting for Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI)
The shortlisted candidates from those who satisfy the stage 1 criteria would be called for AWT-PI based on the composite scores derived using the below-mentioned parameters and their corresponding weights.

The 40 points for CAT are derived from the performance in each of the three sections as follows: Verbal & Reading Comprehension (VARC) - 14 points, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) - 16 points, and Quantitative Aptitude (QA) - 10 points.
For first shortlist weightage of work experience will be calculated as
= 8x/36 if 0<x<36
=8 if x>=36 (where x is months of work Experience upto July 2021)
Note : The work experience score (maximum 8 in the pre-PI stage) will be scaled down to a maximum score of 5 and then multiplied by the quality of work experience score on a 5 point scale (0.25, 0.5, 1 , 1.5, 2) as given by interviewersin the PI processin Phase 2 to then arrive at a weighted work experience score.
After deriving the composite scores, composite cut offs will be decided in each category for short listing candidates for Stage II of the selection process. The number of candidates to be shortlisted for AWT-PI in each category depends on the size of the incoming batch.
Stage III: Criteria for Final Selection for the MBA programme
For the candidates appearing in Stage II, a composite score for the final selection will be derived using the parameters and the corresponding weights listed below. This composite score will be used for preparation of category-wise merit list.

IIM Bangalore MBA (PGP) How to apply?
If you satisfy the criteria for admission in IIM Bangalore, you should apply for MBA admission in IIM Bangalore before the last date, i.e, September 15, 2021. To fill the application form, aspirants are requested to follow the steps mentioned below:
- Visit https://iimcat.ac.in.
- Click on New Registration.
- Fill in all the required details and provide a valid email and phone number.
- Applicants will receive a user id and password for further use.
- Enter the OTP and click on Validate OTP and submit after entering the Captcha Code.

IIM Bangalore offers various Scholarships to meritorious, female and disabled candidates of MBA course. The IIM Bangalore Scholarships for MBA program are mentioned as follows:
- Aditya Birla Scholarship: It is a merit-based scholarship of INR 1.75 LPA which is given to first and second year students of MBA course.

IIM Bangalore MBA program structure
The MBA program is divided into 6 quarters of 9-12 instructional weeks including assessment every year. The institute gives weightage to a course by using credit points. A three-credit course involves about 100 hours of work, 30% in the classroom and the rest for preparation and assignments.
First year syllabus
The first-year students are introduced to basic concepts in the areas of Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Organization Design, Human Resources Management, Quantitative Methods, and Operations Management through the core courses. This helps in laying the foundation for all the areas of management that help in developing problem-solving skills.
During the first year, students will be required to do 16 core courses along with two electives.

To pursue a Post-graduation degree from IIM Bangalore the Candidate must have a Bachlelor’s degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for Resreved categories).
The candidates having a 100 percent cutoff can expect a call. However, getting a call doesn’t mean admission at IIM Bangalore. Candidates are further shortlisted on the basis of CAT score and eligibility criteria and called for an interview process. Apart from MBA, IIM Bangalore offers five other programs.
• Admission to IIM Bangalore EMBA is based on GMAT or GRE scores followed by Executive Assessment Centre (EAC) evaluation.
• Ph.d admissions accept GMAT / GRE / CAT / GATE / JRF or IIMB Test score followed by an interview.
