  • Every aspirant needs to submit only a single NEET application form.
  • The medium of the exam must be selected very carefully from the list of 13 languages.
  • No change in the selected language medium of NEET 2022 will be allowed later.
  • There will be no provision of late registration in NEET 2022.

The following documents are required for the process of NTA NEET Registration: 

Qualification/ Educational Certificates

  1. 10th class mark sheet
  2. 12th class mark sheet

Documents for Uploading

  1. Scanned copy of candidate’s passport-sized photograph
  2. Scanned copy of postcard size photograph
  3. Scanned copy of candidate’s signature
  4. Scanned copy of left-hand thumb impression

Photo ID Proof:

  1. While filling out the online application form candidates will have to upload the PDF file of one valid photo identity proof – Valid IDs are Aadhaar- UID, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, College ID, Employee ID, and Driving License.
  2. International candidates can use a valid Passport as an identification document.
  3. Candidates will have to show the same ID proof during the time of exam and during the time of counselling also. 

Category Certificate

  • Category certificates i.e. SC/ST/OBC/EWS, etc need to be uploaded as per the category mentioned by the candidate.
  • The same document will be required during the time of admission. 

PwD Certificate

  • Persons with Disability candidates can take the benefit of the scribe facility or the extra time duration to take the exam only if they can prove their 40% impairment irrespective of the type of disability by providing the PSD certificate. 
  • The same document will be required during the time of admission.

Filling the NTA NEET Registration 2022 consists of four simple steps as indicated below:

  1. NEET Registration via Application Form Login Page – First of all, candidates will have to register as “New User” after which login credentials will be created based on which candidates can complete their application forms.
  2. Fill NEET Application Form 2022 – After registration, candidates can start filling the application form by providing the details like educational qualification, personal details, etc.
  3. Upload Required Documents – Candidates will also be required to upload the documents like photograph, signature, SC/ST Certificate, and PwD Certificate as per the given specifications.
  4. Payment of NEET Application Fees – The application fees can be paid online by using a credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Step 3 – Uploading of Scanned Images

Valid ID Proofs for NEET 2022 Registration

Candidates often face the issue of unacceptable image size, they can follow these steps to resize and compress scanned images of their photograph and signature through MS Paint, to the desired specifications mentioned in NEET official notification.

  2. Open ‘MS Paint’ in your computer
  3. Press ‘Ctrl+O’ and browse to the scanned images of your photograph/signature.
  4. Now, press ‘Ctrl+W’ to open “Resize and Skew” window

How to Correct Documents Uploaded in NEET Application Form?

Every year NTA releases the guidelines for uploading the documents according to which the documents should be of the following size then only you can upload them in the application form.

  • Signature 4 – 30 kb
  • Left-hand thumb impression (if required) 10 – 50kb
  • Class X Passing Certificate (if required) 100 – 400kb

If your document is not between the size mentioned above then you can scan your images again and compress them to attain the required size. Other than the image should be uploaded only in JPG format.

Ans. It is mandatory that the candidate has achieved the age of 17 years by December 31, 2022. The upper age limit for NEET has been removed. There are no restrictions on the number of attempts also, a candidate can sit for NEET any number of times if they fulfill the rest of the NEET eligibility criteria. However, the candidature of candidates appearing who are more than 25 years of age is subject to the orders of the Supreme Court. 

Ques. Is it permissible to change or retrieve the password of NEET application form 2022 and what is the process to do the same?

Ans. Yes. It is possible to retrieve the password of NEET. In case a candidate forgets the password, he/she can retrieve the same through the following steps:

  • Through OTP (One Time Password) on Registered Mobile Number: Candidates will need to enter their ‘Registration Number’, ‘Candidate’s Name’ and ‘Date of Birth’.
  • Answering the Security Question set while registering: Candidates can also retrieve the password by answering a bunch of security questions.
  • Forgot Mobile number and Email ID: In order to retrieve the password through this method, candidates will need to have to enter personal details.

Ques. Can we attach the photo without name and date printed on NEET application form?

Ans. It is mandatory to have the candidate’s name and date of clicking the picture on the passport-sized photograph. Take multiple copies of the photograph since the same will be required for the Admit Card and throughout the admission process.

Ques. If a candidate is not appearing for the exam, then can NEET application fee be refunded?

Ans. No, the Application Fee is non-refundable, irrespective of whether the candidate sits for the exam or not.

Ques. Are foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates eligible to apply for 15% all India quota seats?

Ans. Yes, all foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates are eligible to apply for 15% all India quota seats. They will have to show their passport No. as ID Proof.

Ques. I live outside India and do not possess an Aadhaar Card, how can I fill NEET 2022 application form?

Ans. Candidates outside India may apply using their passport numbers. Any other Id proof will not be considered valid in the case of NRI candidates. 

Ques. I have recently submitted the request for an update in their Aadhaar details due to some error, can I fill my NEET application form with the old Aadhaar number?

Ans. Yes, you can apply for NEET. While submitting the updating details, the Aadhaar center also issues a 14 digit Aadhaar enrollment ID/UR number printed on the slip. You will be required to enter this new number.

If you have changed your signature then, you can do the correction in the form. Yes, it is okay to use your current signature in phase 2. However, if you get selected in phase 2, then you will have to produce the new signature. Similarly, for the phase 1, you will have to produce the previous signature. But make sure not to use the new and old signature interchangeably.

Yes, you can attach a photograph without name and date mentioned on the same. The candidates are required to upload scanned copy of passport sized photograph and post card size photograph. The passport photo must be latest with white background and 80% face coverage and post card photo should be 4”x6” in size.

The application forms for NEET 2021 were released on the official website launched by NTA in the 4th week of June, 2021. The last date for submission of duly filled forms with application fee is until the 3rd week of July, 2021. Therefore, there is still a lot of time and you can register yourself for the examination from the site.

Yes you can appear for the NEET entrance test after completing the graduation as there is no upper age limit to appear for the exam. The minimum age for the exam is 17 years. To opt for medical stream, you need to select science stream with PCB at 12th level. There is no upper age limit for the exam but you need to be atleast 17 years old to apply. Also a minimum of 50% marks is required in 12th exam.
