MAT Registration 2022 has started for the February session on the official website- mat.aima.in. Candidates must note that MAT registration process is the same for all 3 modes. 

  • Before registering for MAT 2022, the candidates must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria of age and educational qualification. Check MAT Eligibility Criteria
  • MAT 2022 Registration window will now be open till Mar 2, 2022, for the PBT mode exam scheduled on Mar 6, 2022. Registration for MAT IBT is open till Mar 10, 2022, as per the respective exam dates. 
  • MAT CBT mode paper will be held on March 13, 2022. MAT 2022 CBT application forms will be available till March 9, 2022. Check MAT 2022 Exam Dates

Before filling MAT application form, candidates must have the following documents with him/her:

Mistakes to avoid while filling MAT Application Form 2022

  • Candidates must check that their name, email address, number, and address are correctly filled in the application form.
  • Candidates must check the size, dimensions, and quality of the images uploaded. In case the picture is blurred or not as per specifications, your MAT Application form will be rejected. Check MAT Photo and Signature Upload Guidelines
  • Candidates must make sure that MAT Registration fee payment is successful and they have received the confirmation mail or message.

How to Apply for MAT 2022?

MAT 2022 application form is available on the official website of AIMA. Here is the step by step process to fill MAT 2021 application form:

Step 1: Online MAT Registration

  • Open the official website of AIMA MAT.
  • The candidate will be directed to the following page.
  • Enter details such as Name, Phone Number, Email ID, Date of Birth and set a password
  • Confirm details and click on submit button
  • An OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number
  • Verify phone number using the OTP and login complete the MAT online registration

Step 2: Fill MAT 2022 Application Form

  • Select mode of test i.e. CBT or PBT or IBT mode
  • Select test city (if applicable)
  • Enter personal details, email ID, and residential address

Step 3: Selection of MAT 2022 Test Centers

  • Candidates can choose a maximum of 2 cities as their MAT Exam Center location.
  • Candidates must select their nearest cities as their preferred choice of the test center.
  • The test center allotted will be mentioned in the candidate's MAT 2022 Admit Card
  • For MAT IBT mode select 'Test City' from the drop-down as candidates can take the test from home.

Step 4: Upload Photo and Signature

How to Recover Password for MAT login?

Candidate can recover their MAT password by following the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website and go to MAT 2022 login window.
  • Click on “forget password”
  • Provide e-mail address, mobile number, date of birth, etc. required to identify your application details
  • A link will be sent to the registered email address, click on the link to recover your password for MAT 2022.

MAT IBT Key Requirements

Following are the requirements that candidate needs to fulfill to sit for MAT IBT:

  • The candidate must be clearly virtually visible.
  • During the test, candidates must ensure that no other person enters the room.
  • Candidate must not use a mobile phone or any gadgets
  • A Laptop or Desktop with a Webcam is Mandatory to appear in the test.
  • A stable internet connection with minimum upload speed of at least 512 kbps is required so that the candidate faces no technical difficulties
  • The candidate should have 65MB permanent free space on the default hard drive.

How to apply for IBT 2022?

  • Visit the official website mat.aima.in
  • Generate your login credentials by providing some basic details.
  • Login with the help of your credentials.
  • Select exam mode to appear as IBT
  • Upload scanned photograph and signature image
  • Fill in personal and academic details
  • Complete the registration process by paying the application fee of INR 1650
  • Reconfirm the details and click on the Save option to submit the form.

Ques: When will MAT 2022 Registration dates be announced?

Ques: What will be the application fees for MAT Registration as I am planning to apply for two modes of paper?

Ans: The application fees will be:

Ques: I have filled in some wrong details. How can I correct the errors in my MAT Application Form?

Ans: While filling MAT 2022 application forms, the candidate must ensure that there are no discrepancies in the information entered as there is no provision for correcting the discrepancies later. In case of any discrepancy, your application form can be rejected.

Ques: Is there a difference between MAT CBT, PBT, and IBT modes?

Ans: MAT PBT (Paper-based test) is conducted on a single day and the test-takers are provided with a question paper booklet and OMR sheet at the exam center.  MAT CBT is an online mode exam that is usually conducted on 2 dates. The candidates are provided with a computer system at the test center. The questions appear on the screen and candidates need to mark the answers using the computer mouse. MAT IBT is conducted as an online home-based remote proctored test on 5-7 dates.

Ques. Can I appear in more than one IBT mode MAT 2022 exam?

Ans: Yes, a candidate can appear for two IBT MAT 2022 exams by paying an additional fee of INR 1100. Hence, for 1 MAT IBT, the fee will be INR 1650 and for 2 it will be INR 2750.

Ques. What is the benefit of applying for two MAT IBT exams?

Ans. Applying for two MAT IBT exams is beneficial as the candidate can improve their MAT score and can get admission to a better college. If a candidate applies for two MAT exams then his/her scores will be sent to 7 colleges free of cost, but if the candidate applies for only 1 MAT exam then their score will be sent to only 5 colleges.

Yes, the dates are different for IBT and PBT modes. The last date of registration of PBT was March 2, 2022. The last date of registration for IBT was March 10, 2022. Technically, both of the registration fee is corrected. The detailed registration fees is as follows:

  • For One MAT Exam – (For Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (IBT)or Paper Based Test (PBT) or Computer Based Test (CBT)) – INR 1650/-

MAT examinations are of three types which are MAT PBT is Paper-Test Based, CBT is Computer-Test Based, and IBT is Internet-Test Based. In PBT mode aspirants get question paper and OMR sheet to mark their answers, in CBT mode, the candidates take the test on a computer system and in IBT mode the candidates are required to be equipped with a computer system enabled with a webcam and good internet facility.

Is it necessary to give both the modes CBT and PBT?

No, It's not necessary to attend MAT exam in both PBT and CBT mode. Both are same exam the only difference is how it is conducted. MAT is conducted in both online and offline modes, the online mode exam is referred to as Computer-Based Test (CBT) and offline as Paper-Based Test (PBT).

Is there any problem if my date of birth on class 10th marksheet and that on birth certificate is different?

Yes, It would create problems during admission process as there you have to submit all the documents. For changing the birth date, You need to file an application for changing the date of birth to the respective boards with proper evidences like birth certificate, EPIC, PAN Card etc to show the correct date of birth.

How many times can a student apply for admission in MAT exam?

MAT exams allow 4 attempts in each individual year in the months February, May, September, and December. There is no difference in the question papers of each attempt in terms of ease or question pattern. The candidate must be 21 years while sitting for the exam and there is no upper age limit for attempting MAT exam.

Can I apply for the exam even if I am waiting for my final semester result?

Yes. MAT does not have any age restrictions, apart from the eligibility criteria that the candidate should be a graduate, or in their final year of graduation, and 21 years old while sitting for MAT. If you are waiting for your final semester result, you can provisionally apply for MAT. MAT also allows 4 attempts per year for students who require it. The four MAT sessions are held in February, May, September, and December.

As such, there is not a fixed minimum percentage of marks in graduation as the eligibility criteria to appear in the MAT exam. The minimum eligibility criteria for applying to this exam are. 

  1. Candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university
  2. Candidates who are in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for MAT 2021 exam
  3. The candidates who have completed a professional degree such as CA, CS, or ICWA are also eligible to apply for the MAT entrance exam
  4. In the case of grades or CGPA, the percentage of marks calculation will be based on the procedure certified by the respective Institute in accordance with the participating management institute’s eligibility criteria.

The MAT exam will be conducted in May 2021 for MBA admission 2021 in three testing modes IBT, PBT and CBT on different dates in May and June 2021. MAT 2021 May exam dates are from May 30 to June 13, 2021. Registration process for MAT May 2021 exam has started and the last date to apply is separate for different May MAT exams.

Yes you can as there is no mention of having a name in the photograph as per the official notification of MAT 2021 exam. The size of the photograph must be between 5 kb and 100 kb.
