Which is better for English honors between: Lady Shri Ram College and Daulat Ram College?

Between Lady Shri Ram College and Daulat Ram College, the former is the better option for pursuing English honors. Some of my friends attended Lady Shri Ram College and according to them, the faculty base for English Department is great. The cutoff for LSR College is also more compared to Daulat Ram. You will definitely have an excellent time studying there.

Which is better: BA Hons. Journalism from Lady Shri Ram or Delhi College of Arts and Commerce?

B.A Hons. in Journalism from Lady Shri Ram College is definitely a better option than DCAC. It is way better in terms of campus, ranking, reputation, student crowd, etc. The cutoff required for the institute is also higher. So, you will be among competitive peers. If you don’t get LSR, try to get into other south-campus colleges. DCAC is not included in any of the DU campuses, which is a huge disadvantage.

What shall I choose: LSR statistics Hons or JMC economics Hons?

LSR and JMC both are reputed colleges. If we compare then LSR is definitely a better college than JMC. LSR is the best girls college in DU, followed by JMC. However, it’s best to choose the course of your interest over college. As the course will have more effect on your future. So, research about the course that you are interested in, in both LSR and JMC. In general, as a subject, Economics Hons has better scope than Statistics Hons. However, if you are interested in numbers, Statistics is a better fit for you.

I am getting Miranda House, Lady Shri Ram, Hindu and Hansraj? Which one should I choose for economics honors?

Among these three, you need to choose between Lady Shree Ram and Miranda as both of them are good colleges. LSR is better than all because of the various factors including the environment, peer groups, events, and many other things. If you are not a native resident of NCR and there’s a choice between no hostel LSR or the Miranda House with the hostel, then you can opt for the latter as you will get to enjoy and experience the hostel life. If you are unable to get a hostel anywhere then opt for LSR anyway.

Would I regret choosing Miranda House over LSR?

Both Miranda House and the Lady Shri Ram (LSR) College of Commerce are two of the most prominent women’s colleges under the University of Delhi. However, I feel that LSR is a little bit too sophisticated and modern and the girls also feel a little too posh. At Miranda House, you will get students from all corners and strata of society. Lady Shri Ram College Admission Process 2022

Candidates have to register themselves through the online registration process. The steps are given below:

First, candidates have to visit the online admission portal and register with a valid e-mail id.
A valid email id is mandatory and if they don't have it then they should create one.
After the registration the next window will show the courses.
Candidates need to choose the desired course.
The required documents need to be uploaded with utmost care.
Applicants can see the preview of their forms and the uploaded documents.
They will get a registration link. Applicants need to click on the link to pay the registration fee. They should keep the records of the payment for further reference. The payment should be done online through net banking/credit/debit card.

Scholarship: Numerous scholarships and freeships facilities are available at LSR. To get these facilities students need to go through an interview process so that only economically poor candidates can avail these scholarships and freeship aids. The scholarships are given by Shri Manohar Shyam Joshi Scholarship, Ward Welfare, KPMG, G.L. Bansal, ELSA and Shri Onkar Nath Pandit scholarship among several others. Library: LSR provides the students the best kind of facilities at the library. The library is totally computerized. There is a good stock of books. Over 1 lacs collection is included in the library and some of the books are even written by the LSR Faculty members. The library has subscriptions of 150 national and international journals. Hostel: LSR hostel facilities can only be availed by the UGC students who are out of station. Based on ‘merit and need’ LSR College has 300 seats for accommodation. "LSR- a class apart"

The admission process was based on the percentage i obtained in my best 4 subjects in the board exams in class 12th and the respective cut offs released by the college. The only eligibility of Political science courses is simple- you need to include political science as a subject in your best 4 subjects, otherwise 2.5% is deducted from your overall percentage. Application form and dates are released every year by DU and LSR follows it. Usually this is around August-September of every year and admission gets completed by November. Fees is highly subsidised as is expected out of any government college, its 15870 for one year for my course. It varies not much for other courses as well. The admission process is entirely regulated by the Delhi University and takes 3 to 5 days at the maximum for approval. The admission process is quite smooth, but there is a lack of helpline numbers that could help the students in case of their doubts. The few that that exists, are not efficient.

The admission process was smooth for me, it was based on a cut-off list. I had to submit proof of the percentage of marks i got in 12th standard, which was the CBSE 12th report card, after which, i was eligible for admission in the 1st cut-off list.

"It's amazing and fabulous."

I applied through merit based admission. Process:- 1.) If you are going to opt for eco honours then the best marks should be good in case you are a commerce student (math, accounts, bst, economics). 2.) I applied for 3 colleges before lsr any when I'm under lsr cut off I cancel the admission to previously applied college. AND THEY WILL CHARGE YOU 1000 and after that, you can cancel your admission to that college. 3.) If you are taking reservation benefit you need to renew your that certificate as per that year. And you also need to submit the signed undertaking for the same. 4.) You can find the application form on du website. 5.) You can have the nodal officers phone and email ID for your assistance. 6.) In lsr they will charge you the whole first year fees at the time of admission you don't need to pay any exam fees etc. 7.) In lsr there is a hostel on our campus you can stay there if you are out of Delhi.

"Honest Review by Lsrite"

I've opted for Economics Hons in lady Shri Ram College For Women and the applicant needs to score at least an aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination. For taking economics, One must have studied and passed math's in her class 12th. In an online mode, You have to register yourself at the DU official website when DU opens for registration and keep your username and password safe until DU cut-off doesn't come as these will be useful for future purposes. Then when the DU cutoff releases, match your marks with the college cutoff and select wisely. DU generally comes up with 5 general cutoffs and later special cutoffs where only those students can apply who couldn't apply in the previous lists despite being eligible. If in any cut-off list, you want to change your College so you can just cancel your current admission by paying a cancelation charge of Rs1000 and then take admission to your desired college.

"A very true picture of the Online Economics honours program"

For economics honours your best of four subjects in 12th class should include economics as a compulsory subject. Application form for LSR will be available on DU site as DU releases a combined form for all the colleges. Application fee is mentioned in the form itself if it exists. Application dates are released on DU's official site. Reservation benefits only include a little to no reduction in the cut-off from the general categories. This year the admission process was online which was a very good chance as it was much simpler, feasible and students could fill the form from their house. The verification process did take time which caused unnecessary tension among the students so the university can give a timely deadline for the verification process and all the other processes. I would personally recommend that DU, even if the Covid situation improves in the future, should consider online application submission as the standard application process from now onwards.

"Half College experience"

The Eligibility for my Courses in DU in 2020 was Cutt-Offs. The 1st Cutt-Off of Economics Hons for General Category was 100% and all other categories were 99%, which hardly student could get through. It was very inaccurate. However, the application process was very smooth and understandable. But the nodal officers' numbers provided for difficulties hardy entertained calls.

The first step would be to fill in the registration form of DU which will be available on the DU's official website. Then, DU releases a number of cut off list for various colleges affiliated with DU one after the another. If you meet the eligibility criteria and cut offs of the college and the course you would like to apply for, you can apply for the same on your DU registration portal itself. Payment of fees would be the final step of the admission process. So, once you have paid the fees your admission will be confirmed. About the eligibility of the course(eco hons.) , You should have passed 10+2 and mathematics is a compulsory subject to have in your 12th class. If you didn't have mathematics in 10+2 then you are not eligible to pursue this course. I got admission in the 5th cut off and i was from a obc category, so I also got the reservation benefits as 27% seats are reserved for the students of obc category.

LSR have all qualities whether infrastructure or faculty, placements & internships. A lot of big companies come here for placements & internships. Cafe of LSR provided good quality & wide variety of foods. LSR has one of the biggest library in DU with over 1 lakh books in each library. Also faculty members as well as seniors are very helpful here.

"Magic of being in LSR"

Step-1 filling common registration form of Delhi University . Fee charges - 250 rs Step-2 a cut off list was released by DU . In fact 6-7 cutt off are released by DU for various colleges and their courses. I saw the cut off and applied for LSR on DU's official website itself with my previous registered ID and paid fees for the same . Also I got LSR in 3rd cut off list. Step-3 after few days we got mail from college for orientation and other important instructions . Soon we got introduced with college what's app group both formal and informal.

Currently, i am studying at Lady Shri Ram College For Women, Delhi University, The purpose behind choosing the college was, of course, its academic structure and environment, I chose many colleges as my preference but the reason for not choosing those colleges were many such as their high fees structure. Though i had an interest in teaching so i thought of pursuing the course Bachelor Of Elementary Education or generally known as B.El.Ed. in LSR. I did not apply for any quota in LSR. There was cut off for the B.El.Ed. course and the list were updated where the name of the students who were selected was mentioned in the list.
